A little about me

Hi, I'm Gretchen. 
I am a self taught artist. 
Started drawing when I could hold a crayon.
Painted my first oil painting at age 13.
Sold my first commissioned portrait at age 16.
I paint almost everyday in my studio, it's like breathing  for me, I have to do it.
I don't like to write about myself.
I love art...am addicted to it, love looking at it, researching old master techniques and seeing artists of today. 
I am crazy about music.
Drawing was my first love.
I paint whatever strikes me, portraits, animals, landscapes, still life and food.
There are way too many wonderful things to paint and I want to paint whatever inspires me.
